We also have french as part of our curriculum. This is not an entirely new concept in pre-school education, but feel it is one that the children may benefit from. French is taught twice a week, in small groups for 30 minutes by Bavardage. These sessions are at no additional cost to parents, as they form part of our nursery curriculum.
We have a teacher from a company called Lucy Sparkles. The children are allowed to experiment with a variety of musical instruments, and listen to a diversity of music where they are encouraged to interpret the music through dance. These sessions are taught once per week, for an hour. These sessions are at no additional cost to parents, as they form part of our curriculum.
During the summer months small groups of children have the opportunity to attend trips to a variety of places of interest. These include outings to the sea-side, fruit picking, farms, and national trust parks. As these trips are seen as part of our curriculum there are no additional costs to parents. Our nursery has its own minibus that provides transportation to the varying places of interest. For good practice the bus is equipped with age appropriate car seats, first aid kit and a fire extinguisher and is covered by comprehensive insurance.
